1. Josh's team lost again. Ugh! The winning feeling was short lived for him. Maybe this week...fingers crossed!
2. Ella Jane is moving around like crazy! Josh got to feel her kick for the first time! So exciting!
3. Cleaning/organizing/ and decorating the laundry room was no fun, but it sure feels good to be done with it (basically). I have to buy some baskets for the shelves this week. But the rest is history! Shew!
4. Next and last project (besides garage) to finish before Ella Jane gets here (but after football season) is the NURSERY! :) now this I can't wait for.
5. Georgia (my mans team) beat Tennessee! Yay! Go Bulldogs!
6. My dad turned 55 today. We all went to church with him and out to eat!
7. The new restaurant at the park is pretty good, but so slow!
8. My mom had my dad the cutest cake made! And it tasted good too!
9. I'm still going through our wedding presents at grandmothers! Will I ever get done!
10. Target has the cutest fall decor in the $1 section!
11. (one to grow on). During church this morning Ella Jane was moving and kicking. Josh got to see my stomach move. Lol. And mom got to feel Ella Jane kick for the first time. Ah!

10 things i learnt this weekend
1. My mom and dad sure know how to tailgate!
2. I love my moms pigs in a blanket. Soooo good!
3. Josh's Dragons got their first W! As happy as I am about that, I hate it had
to be against the Cougars. It was really a lose lose situation. Someone was leaving sad. :(
4. Josh was soooo happy after that game, even though he hated it for the boys cause it came at their expense. He just hugged me and cried on the field. I was so proud of him (despite the situation)! The situation was really bad. I just wish they coached together. :)
5. Fall is here! I've loved the mornings this weekend, so crisp!
6. Not a fan of Panera Bread's food. But I sure love their bagles! Cinnamon crunch is my favorite! With hazelnut cream cheese...oh so good! And perfect for fall.
7. The Five Year Engagement is a great movie! Josh and I loved it!
8. Cabin in the Woods, not so much. But Josh would disagree with me on that. Haha.
9. I've always loved cleaning. It's the OCD in me. But here lately I've enjoyed it even more. I've even been cleaning and organizing closets. But I also have to, gotta get ready for Ella Jane!
10. I have more clothes than one person should ever have. I really need to have a yardsale!

Duck Duck Goose
So my first time at Duck Duck Goose was a total success! Mom and I got there really early Wed evening, so we were ahead of the line. And one of the first, first moms to get in. It was crowded and there was madness but nothing like I was expecting. Which is a good thing. Everything was labeled and grouped together good, and super easy to find. We got some awesome stuff and deals too (especially mom)! She got a diaper genie, stroller, bumbo, and chair for a grand total of $65!! We couldn't believe it. A nice stroller for $10!?! Since I haven't had a baby shower yet, and I know I'm going to get a lot of big stuff, I stayed around the clothes and shoes. I went way over board, with 2 buggies full of newborn and 0-3 months clothes and shoes. My mom talked me into putting some of it back (because apparently babies grow really fast haha)! So I got everything down to 1 buggy full. Lots of cute little outfits and shoes for $118. Oh plus I got me and Josh both a back pack to hold Ella Jane in. Josh wanted one for the football sidelines. :) mom and I paid for "duck out of line" so we didn't have to wait in line like most people for checkout, just 15 minutes. We got home around 11:30. It was so much fun shopping for Ella Jane. Mom and I plan on going back again.
Duck Duck Goose: round 2 was a success too. Today (mom couldn't go) Stephanie and I headed to DDG for half price day!! Since I bought things for Ella Jane on wed for when she is 0-3 months, today I bought her all clothes and shoes for 3-6 months. I got her some little jeans, overalls, and gap shirts, and only spent $18! woohoo. When I got home Josh was like, are you trying to make her a little mini me? Haha!
Love me some DDG! Ella Jane will too!

10 things I learnt this weekend
1. The cougars and the dragons lost Friday night!
2. Josh's game was in KY so I went to watch the cougars. Love going to their games, my mom packs some good candy and snacks.
3. My stomach has grown a lot, just this week! My maternity clothes are fitting right now. Ha
4. I got a boost of energy yesterday and got productive. The deck is cleaned and my weekly chalkboard got bought and finished! Finally!
5. I really wish I had bought the chalkboard when i first found out I was pregnant! So fun! Plus Ella Jane will like looking at that someday. :)
6. Hobby Lobby has the cutest halloween and fall decor right now! I didn't go crazy though. :)
7. I made another recipe from the cookbook mom put together for me, sausage cheese dip! Such a good fall/football snack. It turned out great too!
8. Josh and I had tickets to the UT/FL game, but we decided to not go. Ha! We aren't big UT fans, so the crowd kinda turned us against going. College Game Day was in town, so you can imagine.
9. My brothers and Josh play against each other Friday night! Really dreading this game!
10. It's getting harder and harder to shave my legs and paint my nails. Oh brother. Ha!

Thankful Thursday
1. The fact that it's Thursday - this week has really wiped me out! So glad that the weekend is right around the corner. Ready to relax with my man. Well, and go the UT game (even though we aren't real UT fans)! Haha. It'll still be fun. I was thinking last night how bad I wish Ella Jane was here already so we could put her in that cute little UT onesie mom got her and take her with us. She is going to be so much fun!!! January needs to hurry!
2. Our kitchen Aid Mixer - my brothers got me and Josh a really cool mixer for our wedding shower. We have been using the hound out if it this week. Milkshakes are my thing lately (and Josh's too)!
3. Fall - my favorite time of the year! And it's just about here. Can't wait to get out all things fall!
4. Ella Jane - this should've been number 1. So thankful for all those movements she makes during the day and night. It let's me know our precious baby is growing and doing good. :) i can't wait to snuggle her! My friend, Sara, just had a baby yesterday and it has made me all the more anxious about Ella Jane! I know there's not going to be anything like it.

Shopping for Ella Jane
Somehow I've managed to not look at baby clothes since we found out we are having a girl (I've been waiting for duck duck goose that's next week)! Well that was until today. After school I stopped by Target to get some bread (and toilet paper haha) and winded up in the baby section. I couldn't resist these newborn boots. They are the cutest things, and so so tiny! Ella Jane's first of many boots! ;) I also got her a pair of Mary Jane's! For $6.00! And the cutest onesies! I seriously had to make myself walk away. This girl will be the death of my bank account! ;)

Ella Jane or Ella
Today someone asked me if we are going to call Ella Jane - Ella Jane or just Ella. Good question. :) ha! We aren't really sure yet. For right now it's Ella Jane. And as much as i love it with the two names together, I have a feeling that she will be Ella. Haha its kinda like Matthews, they are always Matt.
And then you have Josh who says he is calling her El. Ha! So who knows? All i know is she was always going to be Ella Jane! We didnt have a second girl name picked out. We just knew that was the one! Her name is strong. After the two most important women in our lives. Our moms (josh and I love those old family names)!
We'll decide what we're going to call her exactly when she gets here. :) can't wait for that day!

Thanks mom!
Mom brought Ella Jane some super cute stuff back from the jewelry show! I can't wait to get her in this stuff!
10 things I learnt this weekend
1. The Cougars won (whoohoo)! But my mans team lost. Oh it was so close too. 10-13.
2. Nicole taught me how to zoom in on my camera, so I can get some really good close ups during the games.
3. I love lazy Saturday's! Josh and I (and sophie) ate and watched tv all day long. It was so nice.
4. Sophie doesn't like Josh. Haha! He likes to tease her, and she isn't about it at all. Ha! She stayed with us because mom and dad are at a truck show in gburg.
5. I have found 2 baby beddings that I love for Ella Jane! I'm really ready to pick out the bedding so I can start on some pinterest crafts for her nursery. :)
6. I have went all weekend with unpainted nails. For the first time in years.
7. Fall weather finally arrived this weekend (it's sooooo nice), I just hope it stays around!
8. Ella Jane is moving around like crazy now! :) I can't wait til she starts kicking so Josh can feel her.
9. My morning nausea is slowing picking back up. :/ noooo!
10. We watched the ultrasound again (the nurse put it on DVD)! So cool!

Thankful Thursday
Where do I even begin this week? There's just so much to be thankful for (always) but especially weeks like this. So here goes.
1. Ella Jane - so thankful that I get to be a mommy to a baby girl named Ella Jane. I eventually want a boy, but I'm so thankful we're having a girl this time around. She's going to be so fun! Josh said tonight that he doesn't even want a boy anymore. :) haha!
2. A healthy baby- so far our baby is growing and is so healthy. The doctor said she couldn't ask for a better ultrasound! Praise Jesus.
3. The blessing of getting pregnant - tonight at bunco, a girl was there who has been trying to get pregnant for a year. She is actually having to have surgery tomorrow. But its stories like hers that make me realize (even more so) how blessed Josh and I are that we got pregnant so fast. Cause that could very well be us in her shoes.
4. My mom/child care - already I've been thinking about how sad it's going to be when I do go back to work after Ella is born. But I'm just so happy that she doesn't have to go to a daycare or babysitter. I have my mom! She's quitting work when Ella is born. :) Thats huge for us!! I just don't think i could drop her off at a daycare. As hard as it will be going to work, I'll feel so much better leaving her with my mom.
5. Josh - Josh is the kind of husband that I'd wish for anyone. Maybe I'm just being bias, but I really lucked up. :) so grateful for him. He makes me feel so good, all the time. but today, I'm most thankful that I married someone that I know is going to be a great daddy! Ella Jane lucked up too. ;)

It's a GIRL!
Yesterday morning I was up with the chickens. I have never been more anxious and excited about anything in my whole life. :) I've been patiently waiting on this day for about 5 months...the sex of our precious baby.
At first I was afraid we weren't gonna be able to find out. The ultrasound was long (45 minutes), checking the heart, lungs, kidneys, etc. But every time the nurse would go to check the sex, Ella Jane's legs were together. Lol. My baby girl is very modest. :) but finally, after a bathroom break, a lot of rolling over to change sides, and with 10 minutes to spare...she pulled through - all spread eagle! We got the best shot! When I first saw it, I thought it was a boy. Girls, to me, look like boys a little. But then the nurse started pointing things out. :) through the whole ultrasound Josh was so chattery and with every little thing, he thought it was a boy part. Lol. He really wanted a boy, like most men. But he's so excited about Ella Jane! He is going to be so wrapped, i can already tell! We all are! This precious girl had us all in tears yesterday! She is already so loved! I cried all day yesterday, happy tears of course.
Josh and I went and ate at o'charleys for lunch after our appt. Its all we could think about, Ella Jane! I don't even think we said 5 words to each other (maybe cause our phones were blowing up) but I think we were just taking it all in. There's nothing like it in the whole world! We would just look at each other with the goofiest smiles that stretched across our whole faces and start laughing. Giddy as all get out!
He left for football practice and I headed to the hospital to see Mamaw, where mom had a little something planned for me. Pizza, cupcakes, girl plates napkins and silverware! Traci came too! I was the perfect way to end the most perfect day of my life. :)

BOY or GIRL?!
Tomorrow is the big day! It's literally ALL I can think about. Haha! Im soooooo excited (the whole family is)! Boy or girl? I'm not having a hard time picturing either. :) for the longest time (ever since our last ultrasound) I've thought we're having a girl. I've just had this intuition. My mind was set. It's.A.Girl. It even kinda looked like a girl to me. Haha! But now I'm not so sure. So it could go either way tomorrow. This new addition to our family is such a sweet blessing. The best blessing I may have ever experienced (yep definitely)! We just want it to be healthy. :)
Fun story: last night Josh and I were in the kitchen, talking about how excited we are for tomorrow. The big day is here! He, of course, just wants our baby to be healthy, but he is also secretly hoping for a boy. I knew this already. Most men do want boys. This all got proven last night big time though.... I told him the old saying I've heard before. If you put a knife under the bed, it helps your chances for a boy. He starts busting out laughing, takes me to the bedroom, lifts up the mattress, and sure enough. He has had a knife under our mattress ever since we found out we were pregnant! Lol!! I was in tears laughing at him. :) afterwards he tells me he will be just as happy with a girl though. :)
Traci is coming over in a little bit to take some belly/gender reveal pictures. Since we don't know what we are having yet, we are doing some pics with blue and some with pink! :)

10 things I learnt this weekend
1. I love my family coming to support my mans team, the Dragons! Even though they lost it was a fun game.
2. My mom is letting me use her zoom lens for football season, I got some great pictures of Josh coaching.
3. I love my football earrings that aunt Sally got me. They are dangly with little footballs, super cute!
4. There's nothing like a clean condo. I wish it stayed like that longer. But thats kinda impossible when you live with a boy.
5. Sometimes it's ok to spend a Saturday inside all day, in your pajamas. :)
6. Football season and beef stew just go together.
7. The Safe House is not a good movie. And I usually love Denzel Washington.
8. My latest cravings: doughnuts and apples. We had to make a trip to Krispy Kream after lunch today.
9. Chocolate Clusterds are my favorites!
10. Long weekends! There's nothin like them!

Cougars VS. Mavs!
Thursday night was quite a night for football. Justin and Matt's Cougars took on the AC Mavs, on Thursday Night Rivalry (which is on TV). The first half started off OK, the Cougars really held them. Going into halftime it was 14-0. Which isn't bad at all. But the second half of the game went downhill for us. You could really tell we lost one of our best players the week before. A lot of silly mistakes were made, and what should've been a win for the CC Cougars, turned out to be a lose! Final score 38-0. So SAD! There is no team I wanted them to beat more, than those stinky MAVS. Words of Freddy, "Boooooo Mavs!"
On a happier note....this game was soooo exciting. The CC fans were so pumped, especially the student section. There was no comparison between ours and AC's. We definitely beat them, as far as school spirit is concerened. Josh wouldn't go with me to the game, he won't step foot on the AC field (unless he absolutely has to), but he watched it on TV. And he said that the news must really love my brothers. Because even though they were losing, that's the only people they were talking about a lot. :)
Win or lose, I'm so proud of the Cougars! My brothers have completely changed that program! Everyone talks about what amazing coaches they both are. The atmosphere and the CC community is nothing like I've ever seen it! Good job, guys! That's definitely the place to start. Go Cougars!

Saturday Afternoon Fluff

All I wanna do is blog lately. I think it's this time of year. :) It puts me in a blogging mood. Plus, there's so much stuff going on right now and I want to remember it all. I have to put it in words. And I know I won't get to blog as much when our baby comes. hehe! I need to figure out how to print all my blog posts, and make a book out of them. That would be a good project for me to start....while I have the time for projects. ha!
Let's talk nursery. So I'm not a girly girl, at all. And IF we have a girl, I suspect that she probably won't be either. ha! So, I really want to paint the nursery a pretty gray color (boy or girl color), with a dark wood crib and furnitures, and neutral colors (basically like the rest of our house). Very rustic. Then the detailing can be more gender depending. I've been looking online at Pottery Barn and Land of Nod. I've found some super cute crib bedding....pictures above! These are from Land of Nod! You can't tell how cute the first one is from the picture, but it's cream with little sheep embroidered on it. LOVE! And Pottery Barn has a mobile to that would match perfectly.
