Monday Monday...need I say more?

Hello darlings...how come weekends have to fly by? And then the work days arrive, and of course, creep by like turtles. It's just wrong I tell ya. And Mondays are the very worst. I've been sluggish, to say the least. And to top it off, it's raining and I have to stay at work until 6:00 tonight for conferences. 3 hours pass normal time. On a Monday? Seriously? *sigh* Days like this I find myself daydreaming a lot. I want to throw some things in a suitcase, and take off to somewhere wonderful with BoyF. Even if it's just for a week, ah!! I'd be a happy camper.

I started the Special K Diet today. You have a bowl of Special K for breakfast and lunch, you drink water (I cheated and had a tea haha), you can snack on Special K bars, and then have a sensible supper. After 2 weeks, you're suppose to lose 6 pounds. Yeyeyeye! I'm guessing a workout should be thrown in there too?... I'm a little effy about this whole thing, but it's worth a shot. So far so good. I'm not trying to bite my arm off yet or anything. ;) I do predict a future headache this week, due to lack of caffeine.

a little twist...by Sherry Argov

Once Upon a time there was a princess. Along came a prince who asked her if she'd like to ride on his white horse. She said, "I'd like to take a ride on your horse, but I can't right now because I'm a little busy getting my own horse. Go ride off into the sunset without me, and I'll catch up to you a little later. "

Then they fall in love, marry, and ride off into the sunset. And then they live lovingly ever after.

10 things i learnt this weekend

8. Watching Sex and the City w BoyF is quite entertaining.
9. Brixx Pizza is just so so! BoyF didn't like it at all.

Today has been a great day (minus the fact that I'm missing BoyF). School got called off early due to snow and it's my mom's birthday. So lots of food and family time, which is always good. We all went in together and got her a netbook. It's so cute, I want one for my birthday! :)

Happy Wednesday ya'll! Is it just me, or has this been a verrryy looooong week already? So ready for the weekend, and hopefully some BoyF time. This past weekend went by way too fast. I didn't get enough time with him. *sigh*

TV moment

Currently I'm really loving The Bachelor! The women on this show are so rediculous, and I get so embarrassed for them...but I just can't stop watching. Plus, the Bachelor Brad, reminds me so much of BoyF. I think they look a lot alike, they even talk a lot alike (with that southern twang that I luv so much) Haha! Yeah, it's probably just me.... *laughs*

Happy Friday!

"People tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will descend like fine weather if you're fortunate. But happiness is the result of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestation of your own blessings." - Elizabeth Gilbert (author)

Thankful Thursday

Ok so BoyF and I got in our first fuss over the weekend (on Sunday). Without going into a lot of detail, let's just say he hurt my feelings. *sigh* And even though I forgave him 100 times, I've been a little down all week. I guess we were bound to have our first fuss though. And I'm also glad it happened. I know fussing isn't good, but in this case - it has brought us even closer together. So I can't help but be thankful for it. We're even laughing over the whole thing now. Haha!

This week I'm thankful for:

1. The little fuss with BoyF - I hate fussing, but now I know 100% for sure how much he means to me. Which is a WHOLE WHOLE big lot.
2. Friends - It's so nice having friends that you can count on to make you feel better.
3. My parents - they've always took good care of my brothers and me. And raised us to know right from wrong, and gave us the opportunity to get good jobs and make a good living for ourselves. The longer I teach school, the more I appreciate this.

Back to the real world

Today has been fun! It's Martin Luther King, Jr Day, no school...yet again. So it's been another lazy day...yet again! This evening I did go out with Elizabeth and Leslie (for Elizabeth's bday). We ate at Cafe 4 and got dessert at Litton's. Very very good!
Tomorrow I'm back to work. I thought I was ready to get back in the swing of things. And I am, but I'm also kinda dreading it, mainly just dreading the 6:00 am wake up call. I've become such a night owl. Not going to sleep until 2 and 3, just piddling around. It's going to be hard getting back on a schedule, but I know it's time.
Tonight I'm really missing BoyF. What happened to the girl who could see her man once a week and be fine? Where did she go? I think I'm in trouble ain't I? haha!!

2. BoyF's friends (from Florida) are very nice and easy to talk to, and have good stories to tell about BoyF.
3. I need a haircut and new hairstyle and a new jacket.
4. Cracker Barrell has a great chicken salad.
5. I love being aroud BoyF's family, his dad is the funniest person.
6. If you eat at Angelo's restuarant, you can not go wrong.
7. Once upon a time, BoyF was a little hellyun *laughs*
8. An old friend from high school passed away this weekend. When that happens it really makes you stop and think. So very sad.
9. Though I could live without BoyF, I don't ever want to.

Thankful Thursday

1. Netflix (instant movies) - with all these snow days, and getting a little lazy and bored at times, it's nice being able to browse through 1000 of movies to watch instantly.
2. BoyF (and not just any BoyF, but Josh) - I know he is on my list every time. But that's because I am just so thankful for him. I'm so thankful for a BoyF that makes me feel beautiful, confident, and so comfortable just being myself. And one I'm crazy about to boot!
3. Melting snow - I know I know! It's so so beautiful. And I've had some awesome lazy days with BoyF. But I've had enough...for a while. I'm ready to get back in the swing of things.
4. (with that being said) I'm also thankful for...Snow days - even though I'm happy to see the snow melting, I'm also so happy for the snow days we've had. I've got to spend more time than usual with BoyF and with my family, I've got to relax, and I won't take my job for granted ever again. Plus, having more time with BoyF has allowed me to get to know him and fall for him even more.
5. Facebook - along with netflix, this has got me through some very lazy boring snow days.
6. Thankful Thursday - I love slowing down and taking this time to reflect on my week, and all the things I am so blessed to have.

another fun snow day with BoyF!

last night: BoyF fixed steaks on the grill (yes on the grill in 30 degree snowy weather haha), and they were amazing. He is a really really guuuuuud cook. Which works well for me *winks* After that we both had a sweet tooth so we went to Litton's and got the yummiest most delicious cheesecake I think I've ever ate. Actually Litton's was closing, but BoyF put his sweet talk to good use, we got to get cheesecakes...to go. :) When we got back we played with his new xbox (I think it's called an xbox). I was in total amazement at this thing. You don't use remote controls, you don't even touch anything. The box "senses" your movement. It's so cool. It was so funny watching BoyF. We also watched Dukes of Hazard. What bad acting in that film, but I like it. Haha!
today: I got to hangout with BoyF for a little while. He's excited, he got some pretty great news this afternoon.
tonight: My uncle Rick came over for a visit.
tomorrow: Back to work, and I've gotta say..I'm not that upset about it. Haha! Kinda ready. Plus, the kids won't be there. I've got inservice. And just for 5 hours. I can handle that.

baby names

The other day I came across the most popular baby names of 2010, via yahoo. They even had a list of names they predict to be most popular in 2011. Most of the names were pretty common, names you hear all the time, there's usually at least 2 kids with that exact same name in your class (you know the ones). I did love the old fashioned names that are making a come back though. So pretty. When I have a baby...I want him or her to have a unique name. Nothing "too out there" or "off the wall" but something cute and different, and maybe even a little old fashioned.

For a long time, I'll admit, I've kept a list of baby names. A list with girl names and a list with boy names...it's a girl thing I guess. Haha. But I'd say the majority of females are the same way. They have their baby's name picked out years before it's even born. I really have had my girl name picked out for years...well, at least I thought I did...until I feel in love with a different name the other day Haha! But I do think it's good to have a list of names, it takes future pressure off.

BoyF and the family

Hiii darlings! So last night, BoyF meeting and hanging out with the family was perfect! He fit right in, I knew he would *smile* He mainly talked to Justin and Matt about football, I knew he would do that too ;) Haha! I'm so glad I have brothers who already knew him, and have so much in common with him. It took all the awkwardness of meeting the parents for the first time completely away. So thankful! Plus, BoyF can talk to a wall, that helps a lot too. ;) Mom was quite the hostess, as always. She fixed fajitas, tacos, mexican dip, and peanut butter pie. Everything was sooo guuuuuuud! Josh loved it. After hanging out at the house for a while, we all headed to mamaw's. We talked and watched the Colts (Peyton Manning) game. Mamaw and papaw kept giving me a thumbs up, when BoyF wasn't looking. LOL! They liked him. It was kinda weird...weird in a good way, but weird because me, Justin and Matt all had boyfriends/girlfriends at the house and at mamaws last night. I don't think that has ever happened. Haha!

AFterwards, me and BoyF went back to his house, relaxed, and watched Misery. Remember that movie? Ugh, it gets me everytime.

BoyF is going home with me today!

So today is a pretty big deal for me. BoyF is finally meeting the parents. And if you know me, you know this is something that never happens. Actually, this is the first time I've brought a guy home to meet them since like high school I think. Haha! I don't know if I should even admit to that. ;) But it's true, BoyF is the first guy I've wanted to take home. So this is saying a whole lot! Hmmm....I'll let you know how it goes. :) So happy!

airport

Yesterday: We got the most amazing snow! It was so white and refreshing, with the biggest snowflakes I think I've ever seen. So pretty! I met Leslie and Elizabeth at Starbucks, but we didn't get to stay long, the roads were getting a little bad. I loved our coffee date as always though.
Last night: BoyF and I went to the airport to pick his parents up. They finally got back from Hawaii (after being there for a solid month, lucky ducks). The flight was delayed, so we winded up having to wait on them for like over an hour. But being in an airport with BoyF is fun. We did a lot of people watching. And I kept imagining us jumping on a plane, and heading to some amazing destination. I got to hangout with "Grandmother" for a while last night too. When we dropped his parents off at her house, we stayed for a bit. Hilarious!! The BoyF's parents brought back some coconut M&M's from Hawaii, I wasn't a big fan. But if you like coconut, I recommend them.
Today: No school (because of the snow)...or lack thereof. BoyF and I hung out all day, ate lunch at Salsaritas, then he headed off to a football clinic. He'll be back Saturday though...to meet the parents! dun dun! ;)

Happy Thursday blogbugs!

must see movie: Water for Elephants

Today I stumbled upon these great photos from the movie, Water for Elephants. I can not wait to see this movie (and not just because it starrs Rob Pattinson) *laughs* I heard the book is amazing. And I'm gunna need to read it asap, the movie is set to be released in April 2011. And I think it's always best to read the book before you watch the movie right. :)

life is funny ain't it

So you know that old relationship I held onto for like 7 years, yeah you know the one (I let go of it after meeting BoyF though). Well, anyway...I found out today that he's engaged. It kinda made me get a little sick feeling in my stomach when I seen it. Not because I still like him or want to be with him... but because it's just one of those things. Haha! You know what I'm talking about right? It's more like - what does she have that I don't have, kinda things. haha. But in all seriousness..I'm glad I seen it. I did get a little weird stomach feeling - BUT I was also really happy. For him and for me. I'm so happy he found someone that he wants to be with, and so happy that I can finally say....I'm glad that it turned out to not be me. I've never been more happy in a relationship than I am today.

6. New Year's Eve might be the only time I can stay up til 5:30 in the morning.

10. I'm really looking foward to this season's American Idol. Haha!

Happy New Year!!

Last night: I rang in the new year in the most perfect way possible...with BoyF! Seeing him after almost 2 weeks was the greatest! I just wanted to eat him up. :) We went and had an appetizer and dessert at Outback, our favorite restaurant *smile*. Then we just hungout, he brought me back 2 shirts from Hawaii (awww), and we loooked at all his pictures. I wanna go there so bad. It's such a beautiful place! And Josh said the food is unbelievably good. I'm hoping he takes me there one day. ;)

Right now: It's rainy. But I'm in the best mood. I'm so giddy and happy, it's rediculous. Haha! Which is the perfect way to start a new year. I'm fixing to take my Christmas decorations and tree down, which does make me sigh a little, everything looks so bare after the tree is gone. :/ But I'm kinda ready to get back to the real world, back to work, and back to a schedule.

Anyway, Happy New Year blogbugs! Here's to an amazing year. I have a feeling it's going to be wonderful.
