I decided to end my 'love month' with two people who show nothing but love..my mamaw and papaw. The love they have for each other (and for family) has always been a big inspiration to me. I'm so blessed to still have them in my life. They've been married for 53 years! Wowzers!

My papaw has always called me "pumpkin".. I'm not really sure why. I guess the same reason he has always called my mum "Lucy" haha! Who knows? He is one of the funniest people ever, just naturally. And he is also waaaaayayayy too cool for school. Dresses up everywhere he goes. Even if he isn't going anywhere, but staying home, he is dressed up. :) He loves looking guuuud, and he takes his time getting ready. I think my brothers take after him in that department bahahaha! He is always saying that my mamaw proposed to him. haha! You go papaw!! he is always making up stories. My mamaw is always saying, "now earl, you know that isn't true." bahhehaa

Here's my mamaw. Lorene...or is it Lorine! haha! She isn't quite sure! LOL!! I just knew I was the "milkman's daughter" until I saw pictures of her haha! Everyone says I take after her. Fine wi/ me!! :)) In every old video, and in almost every old picture I've seen of her, she's always dressed up! Like in a dress, dressed up! haha! I guess that's how women were back then! I love it!! My mamaw is the type of person who makes sure everyone is taken care of. Her and my papaw have complete opposite personalities. She doesn't think he is very funny most of the time, and she lets him know it! bahaha! It's funny to listen to her talk to him.

When we went to get him to have him come live wi/us, he was the cutest little thang I'd ever seen. He was so tiny, wi/ these big long floppy ears that he kept steppin on. I kindof hate to admit that I was afraid of him, but I was. That was before my dog lovin days. And let me just say, his mum and dad were the ugliest dogs I've ever seen..still to this day! bahhaa! So glad Frank didn't take after them, so afraid he was going to. LOL!!

Frank is actually my brother's dog, but one bath, one swim, and one outting later.. he became mine, mum, and dad's. :) Ahh, wouldn't have it any other way.

Frank will be 7 years old, May 12th. It feels like we've had him forever though. I love him so much. Ahh! He is the most adorable thing in this big wide universe..& the sweetest. Complete opposite from his sister, Sophie. She's a mean little thang, and she "fusses" at him all the time, like if he tries to jump on the couch, she goes off. & he just takes it. But he will lift his ears up as high as he can, like he has just been spooked. It's one of the funniest things ever. I wish I had a picture of it. :) They do play a lot wi/each other too though. They love chasing each other. :)

Frank is so lazy, he sleeps all the time. And he loves love, such a big baby, one thing him and sophie have in common. He knows how to shake to get what he wants. Actually, now, like if he wants something your eating, you don't even have to say anything. He'll just put his paw..or his head on your foot. Ah. How can you resist?

Frank is so weird sometimes, all the more reasons I love him though!

Why does my dog insist on eating my food, even when he has the same thing in his plate? Why does my dog have one spot for eating treats? Why does my dog bark & bark & bark until he gets what he wants? Why does he flip out when the doorbell rings? Why does my dog love lining up rocks? Why is my dog so frickin stubborn? Why Frank, why??? :)

And today was a perfect one! It felt like spring w 70* weather, so lovely! Sophie and I went for a drive this afternoon after church, she got to stick her head out the window. She loves that. And people love her hehe! They wouldn't be "aw'ing" if they knew the real her though. Haha!

So I've recently started going to a different church, I luuuuuv it, especially after today. I tried out a new class, and the pastor is amazing. His lesson was about'desiring God'. He reminded us how God is the only one who can give us our desires. So why run to other people or things, then wonder why you still feel empty. Depend and delight yourself in God, then all your desires will be met in Him.

The pastor asked a question that left me thinking all live long day. Is there anything else you desire more than God? Is he enough?.........

The Jerk

Today has been so nice! The sunshine was so warm and refreshing today, it was like 60*. A big change from all the snow we've been gettin. My dad washed my car for me, it was much needed! Actually, lots of people were out washing their cars today. As I was driving down the roads this afternoon, almost everyone was either out doing that or walking their dogs. And the carwash next to my apartment was a mad house. I'm definitely ready for spring.. even though I'm gonna miss my layers.

Sophie is staying the night w me tonight! I love her being here, even if she doesn't. haha! She's not used to all the apartment sounds. It freaks her out. We're fixing to watch one of my favorite movies, The Jerk. Ah! If you've never seen this movie, you're missing out.

It's so vintage and so elegant, and makes everything that was once old become new again! Ah! I love that. Not too mention it's so inviting!

There is nothing more fun to me than going to an antique store or flea market and finding old shabby furniture and old shabby 'stuff'. Ah! So fun finding an uhmayzing piece, then taking it home to figure out where it's gonna go, and making it beautiful.

Dang, I wish I would've went into interior design. That way I could've shopped and decorated for a living.. and get paid! I'd also love to own a little antique store. :)

Dogs.. especially mine!

I think dogs are the most amazing creatures on earth, and they give unconditional love. True role models! :) Sophie is a little maltipoo, born Novembern 7th. She's 4 now. She was the last of the litter, meant to come live w us! :) She's the most precious thing in the world, really. :) Besides her brother, Frank. She follows me everywhere, and has to be held almost all the time. Like a baby, literally. I've never seen anything like it. hehe! We love to be lazy!

When I moved out of my parents' house, she stayed w them. I hated the thoughts of her staying at my apartment all by herself for like 8 hours a day. Even though I miss her like crazy through the week, I get to play and love on her all weekend. :) Plus, she loves going to her mamaws everyday!

I'm getting a little concerned about her these days, she's starting to breathe like a chubby kid. haha! It's my mamaw's fault haha. As I mentioned, she goes to her "mamaw's" everyday & I'm pretty sure she feeds her.. alot! This summer when the weather gets warm and I have her at my apartment more, we are gonna get the weight off .

Bloggerbugs! How's it going? Well, I'm good minus this stupid cold.. good for nothing cold that I've now had for like over a week. Grrr! Whyhyhyhy will it not just go away!! I've been dragging myself around the house, feeling so bad and so groggy. Bleh!

Sooooo, I've been hanging out w my mum and the puparoos the past 2 days. We've been pretty lazy, watching movies, and I'm pretty much drowning in Cream Soda. My newest favoritest drink. My mom introduced it to me last week. :) There's been a lot of snow, but I've been too sick to even take the pups out to enjoy it. Speaking of the pups, Frank is such a turncoat! He used to hangout wi/me and my mom, but he must thinking he's too cool to hangout with the girls now. Snob!! He is all about my dad, follows him everywhere. It's precious actually.

My mom fixed my favorite dessert today, Blueberry Cheesecake! Oooo I love it! I'm having a Bible study at my apartment tonight, so this is gonna be our little treat! :) I'm pretty excited everyone's coming over to my house this time, so fun! I get real excited when I'm gonna have company! Guuuuud thing I bought all that cleaning supplies the other day!

Hey ya'll. Happy Valentine's Day!! As you know, February is the month of love! So I've decided to blog about things I love for the rest of the month!

I'll never forget the first time I went to Charleston, it was actually on Valentine's Day, kinda ironic uh? It POURED buckets the 2 days I was there, so I didn't get to fully enjoy it like I would've liked. But even so, I fell in love, and it has been a yearly trip for me ever since. Ahh!

It's so unique, and completely full of charm and character! Palm tress line the stone streets, I'd be perfecly content just walking around all live long day! Which is exactly what I spend at least one day doing when I go, I just walk around looking at the houses and old churches. They take you back in time! Especially the ones down at The Battery. Wow! Uh-mayzing! I couldn't imagine living there everyday. I guess I'd probably take it for granted if i did though, and it wouldn't have the same affect on me as it does now. When I'm there, I'm just happy go lucky!

This is King Street. It's a string of boutiques and shops that I just absolutely adore!! Most of them are pretty expensive, but it's fun just being there.

Leslie and I made a spur of the moment trip to Charleston last summer, so fun.. maybe she'll be up for another one this summer! :) Elizabeth, if we go.. you have to go w us.

Bloggerbugs! Hi! Valentine's Day is in 2 days, so here lately I've been in constant reminder of just how single I am! Haha! My valentine consists of twenty 7 year olds & elmo cards. Haha! I'm ok w that though, and it's kindof precious!

It's strange but I really am ok w being single this year, for real! Since my most recent break up, I've stopped and REALLY thought about what i want in a guy.. and what i don't! I've even made a list of things that I have to have in a relationship, important things that I'm not willin to compromise wi/o. And while I was writing, I realized that I've never been w someone who was REALLY what I wanted. I had been settlin, and just didn't know it. Kindof exciting!

So being single this valentines day is not a sad thing for me at all. Instead, I'm really happy.. just celebrating the fact that i finally know what I want/need in a relationship, my dreams, and all the love I have in my life right now.

Hey bloggerbugs! I wish you could've seen me this mornin! I overslept...an hour! If it hadn't been for my papaw's sweet 6:45 phone call...i coulda been in deep doodoo! So thank you papaw! :) That's him in the picture, giving sophie some lovin!

Whelp, I think I have insomnia (one reason I overslept probably). Maybe I need to stop drinking tea so late at night. How do the English do it? :) Plus, the past couple of nights, I've had like 7000 thoughts, missing people that I shouldn't be missing, and not falling asleep. And I've been so sleepy during the day! I guess that's why my body is telling me to rest right now. Grrr! I need to be cleaning and doing laundry...oops! :)

At lunch today, one of my friends asked me what my simplest pleasure in life is. She had read an article about how the best things in life are free, and finding simple little pleasures and sprinkling them all day long can make your day lovely. Got me to really thinking about my simple pleasures...and the things I take for granted and don't savor.
