Bye 2012.

I knew going into 2012 that it was going to be a wonderful year, and that I was going to be experiencing one of the biggest changes of my whole life (and I'm not talking about turning 30 haha)! If you know me, change is not my thing. I'm just not a fan. But this change I was ready for. This year I got MARRIED! I had my dream wedding. Actually, it was better than I could've ever dreamed for. It was perfect. Not to mention that I finally got to see Hawaii. Ah! Being a wife has been nothing short of amazing. I've always heard that the first year is the hardest. Well, I hope the first year is the hardest because there has been nothing hard about it. :) We just go together, it just works, and I thank God every day for him. Josh is so care free, easy going, thoughtful, playful, loving. All of the things I knew about him the day I married him, and I knew he'd be a great husband (there was no doubt about that). But I had no idea just how truly great he is. You learn a lot when you live with someone, and he has been such a nice surprise. I had prepared myself for the worst. haha! And now, I can't believe I ever thought my sweet man would be hard to live with. ;) Of course, the biggest surprise of 2012 has been our sweet Ella Jane. Josh and I knew we didn't want to wait long before having kids (since either of us are spring chickens haha), but we weren't exactly planning on having her so soon. Not that I'm complaining, it was the best surprise of my entire life. There's no other feeling greater than finding out that you're going to be a mommy, and experiencing pregnancy. I guess when I went into 2012 knowing it was going to be wonderful (I had no idea just how wonderful it really was going to be)! I had no idea that 2012 would also be bringing me a baby girl. Wow! I'm so blessed. I know that's clache, I hate even saying it like that actually. But I am. So so blessed. This has been the best year of my whole life, and I can't even imagine 2013 toping it, but then again...Ella Jane will be born in 2013, and I will officially become a mom. So I guess you could say that 2013 will be bringing me the BIGGEST change of my whole life. Am I ready for this one? Absolutely. I've wanted her for as long as I can remember. My prayers and hopes for 2013: 1. I pray for Ella Jane to be healthy. 2. I pray that I'm a wonderful mommy to her. 3. I pray for a continued growing relationship with Josh. 4. I pray for Justin and Traci to have their dream wedding and a marriage that will have them asking, "What's so hard about the first year?" 5. And I also pray for my families health and safety in this upcoming year. I know this year is going to be a doozy, and one that I absolutely can not wait for!!

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. Taking down Christmas decor is never fun! It's always a little depressing at first cause everything looks so bare.
2. I took down all our christmas stuff, except the tree. That stays up til after the new year. :)
3. I found a few really good baby blogs that gave me a list of must haves for newborns. Happy to say that I had most of it.
4. Josh and I made a trip to babies r us to get a few essentials we didn't have yet. I love the little playmat/gym we bought. So precious!
5. I'm just about finished with baby shower thank you cards. Even though they've been a pain, I'm so thankful we have so many thoughtful friends and family members that have kept the presents coming.
6. Finally ate at Soccer Taco...not bad.
7. Even though Josh isn't wild about the idea (he thinks newborn pics arent real cute lol)...I've been working on getting Ella Jane's scheduled.
8. I think we've decided to get Southern Charm Portraits to take them. She is amazing with newborns and she offers a really good baby plan package.
9. My mom has her bags packed and is ready for Ella Jane. I hope that girl comes soon!!
10. Josh and I have really been sleeping in over break. I'm loving every minute.

Pregnancy updates/questions

How far a long? 37 weeks
Total weight gain? About 30 pounds!
Stretch marks? Nope. I hope I can make it without getting them too. :)
Miss anything? Sitting through a movie comfortably (Josh and I just saw the Hobbet, a 3 hour movie. Oh wow). Talk about being uncomfortable. I also miss my pre-pregnancy clothes.
Movement? Tons of movement. This week she likes kicking under my ribs. Ha!
Labor signs: she has dropped a lot and faces downward, and the doc told me I had a contraction (even though I didn't feel it)!
Belly button in or out? Out. You can see it through my clothes. Haha.
Wedding ring on or off? Still on. I'm not swollen that bad yet.
Food cravings: none really, I just love sweets (even more so than I did pre pregnancy)!
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy for the most part, I do get a little moody at night (when I get the most uncomfortable).
Looking forward to: having Ella Jane here. Even though, I am getting very nervous about the whole labor thing.

Ultrasound

So today has been a great day! Mom and I did a little bit of shopping...and eating (haha)... then headed to the doctor (after picking up Josh) for an ultrasound! This was the first time mom had seen Ella Jane, so it was a little emotional. :) you couldn't see her as well as we have in the past, mainly because she is head down and facing towards my spine haha, and she is also bigger. But nonetheless, we could still see that little heartbeat just go to town at 127 bpm. The nurse said she is weighing a little over 5 pounds (22nd percentile), so by the time she gets here she should be around 7 (if she doesn't come early). She also has a head full of thick hair. :) hehe! the doc didn't seem to think that she will come much sooner than the 17th, but we'll see. I'm just counting the days. We all are! Assuming she comes on her due date, we have 20 days. :))))

Christmas

It seems like I say this every year, but this Christmas has been the best one yet!! I guess the older I get, the more I appreciate all the things Christmas really has to offer. One of the biggest things, being my family.

Favorite part...watching everyone open up their presents. I don't know if I've ever really paid as much attention to it before as I did this year. If you've never done this, you should. :)
My most special gift...Josh surprised me with a gorgeous mother/child necklace. I love how thoughtful he is! I'll cherish it always.
Some more awesome gifts: mom and dad got me a flash for my camera (for all those pics I'll be taking of Ella Jane), grandmother got Josh and I a MacBook (amazing), Justin got Josh (and Ella Jane) some Georgia bulldog booties! I also got an "e" necklace from traci, gift card from matt (to get my hair colored after Ella Jane gets here). Oh and we got a Kurig (?) coffee maker...
I love how...my family included Ella Jane in Christmas this year even though she isn't quite here yet. Mom had her stocking full. :) traci got her the cutest Adidas outfits. Mamaw and papaw got her some toys. :)
Josh....loved the grill I got him!!
Looking so forward to...Ella Jane's first Christmas next year! That's all I could think about this year. We've all talked about how different it's going to be and we just can't wait!
Josh...put together his first stocking (which was mine)!! He did great! it included a Yankee candle and some bath and body. :)
Tonight...I've laid around and watched Christmas movies, played with the MacBook, while josh has been playing on his xbox. :) we're happy over here. :)

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. I am on Christmas vacation...for 2 whole weeks!! Yeah! Unless Ella Jane comes early, then I'm on vacation for even longer. ;)
2. Christmas up at nanny and papaws was fun. They decided to have it early this year (usually we don't go up there til Christmas eve).
3. Josh scored an iTunes gift card, and I got 2 movie passes. We're gonna go see the Hobbet this week.
4. Nanny made everyone toboggans. They are so adorable. Too bad I'm not a hat person. Ha! My man sure looks cute in his though.
5. There were so many fun Christmas things I wanted and planned to do this year, but didn't. Pregnancy has made me lazy.
6. I've been living on the sweets my mom made me and Josh: sugar cookies, haystacks, fudge...!!!
7. Randy came over and brought Ella Jane some cute pottery barn kids things. Aw!
8. Josh really takes care of me when I don't feel good. As my Mamaw says, "he is the sweetest thing that ever lived". Lol!
9. I realize more and more how blessed I am to have him. During church this morning I got a little choked up thinking about how blessed I am with him...and now Ella Jane. I just don't deserve all of this.
10. I love Edy's peppermint icecream! I could eat the whole carton. Josh hates it. Haha.

Travel System!

Ella Jane's travel system came today!! Josh has worked hard putting that (and our glider together) this evening. We are officially packed and ready to go! Shew! Come anytime sweet girl.

Weekly doctor appt.

Currently...im watching Home Alone (cleaning the condo during commercials) and josh is playing on the xbox.
Current obsession...cleaning and organizing. The condo just can't get clean enough. My pregnancy app calls this nesting. Even though I've always been like this to a certain point, yeah it's worse since I've been pregnant.
Today...I had a doctors appt. I am now going to the doctor every week now. Crazy, because this means that Ella Jane is really close (basically she could come any day now). We are sooo ready! I have never been so anxious about anything in my entire life! But of course I haven't. This is my sweet baby girl I'm talking about! (the person I've been dreaming about forever)! She is on her way!!! Wow! Sometimes it still takes a second to sink in, and when it does...Bam! The best feeling in the world! But anyway, back to the appt. Happy to report that Ella Jane is making progress!! Yeah!
More baby news... I am still waking up several times through out the night (basically every time I have to roll over), I know this sounds dreadful...but I seriously am sleeping sooooo much better. I figured out some tricks with my head pillow! Ah! Josh on the other hand, bless it. I don't think he likes sleeping with me right now (not that I blame him)! :)

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. There was a terrible shooting in an elementary school in CT Friday morning, killing 20 little 1st graders and 6 staff members (including the principal, teachers, and counselor). It's a crazy sick world we live in today. I was already thinking like a parent, and if something like that happened to Ella Jane. Unthinkable! I was also thinking about how scary that would be, as a teacher. What would I do in a situation like that?
2. I've been glued to the tv this weekend, watching all the news coverage. Just terrible!
3. Minus some things I've ordered for Ella Jane on Etsy, and a few travel things I have to buy for myself--our bags are packed for the hospital. If she came today, we would be ready to go. :)
4. Stephanie and her boys came over and brought us a bath tub and a bassinet to use until her little bundle of joy comes. Have I mentioned that Stephanie is also pregnant!? So exciting. She's hoping for a girl this time around. Haha.
5. Her boys gave me a little glimpse of what it's going to be like having a kid around who is into everything. I know there's a lot of things I'll just have to get over. My OCD will have to chill out...a lot.
6. So I only thought sleeping was uncomfortable before. That was until now where I've learned just how unpleasant it really can be. Waking up every hour is horrible. There's no getting comfortable anymore. Last night I tried sleeping on the couch...friends have told me that it worked good for them. Not so much for me. :( even changing sides is exhausting. Luckily I only have about 4-5 more weeks to go. Of course, my sleeping pattern probably won't get any better. Haha.
7. I've always heard the last month of pregnancy is the hardest. It really is.
8. Grandmothers christmas dinner was fun! So much food!
9. I love the cute little bows and monthly stickers I bought for Ella Jane on Etsy!
10. Extremely happy I Christmas shopped early this year because I really don't feel like it these days! Swollen ankles, no good!

Nursery Pics

It's taken a while, but the nursery is finally all done! :)

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. Sometimes Motherhood Maternity does have cute things.
2. I should have maternity pics done, but I really don't feel like it (that's horrible I know)!
3. Justin and Matt turned 29!
4. Mom cooked a great bday dinner for them. And had the house and deck decorated so cute for Christmas.
5. I really want a fire pit.
6. Shower #3, our big shower, was perfect! We had it at the cove lake pavilion. Everything was so cozy and adorable! My mom and Melissa really worked hard! I'll post pics as soon as I get a minute this week.
7. Josh was such a trooper and stayed for the entire shower...he even helped me open presents! I am truly blessed with him.
8. Our family and friends are the greatest! They showered us and Ella Jane with so much love! We got almost everything we would possibly need.
10. I couldn't sleep until her things were all washed and put away. I even got her bedding on finally! Now all we have to do is pack our bags! We are ready for our sweet girl!

Shower 2

So Thursday night, my sweet little Bunco group had me a surprise baby shower! Well actually I kinda knew about it before I walked in because Stephanie had told me about it that morning. Mine and joshs sweet friend Denise (a really close friend of the Kerrs) mom passed away Tuesday night and her celebration of life was Thursday night. So when I called Stephanie to tell her I wouldn't be at bunco...she had to tell me about the surprise shower that was at her house. Josh understood, and as much as I hated not going with him to the funeral, I went to the shower. I really love my bunco group. That was so sweet of them. Ella Jane got a book, shampoo, body wash, outfits, bows, diapers and wipes, and swaddles. :) thank you girls so much!! That was too thoughtful! I hate I missed the funeral, but I'm glad I went to the shower. :)

Shower 1

So yesterday I had my first shower. My co-workers at work got Ella Jane all kinds of cute stuff. She got blankets, sleepers, bibs, booties, tons of hairbows, books, and super adorable outfits! I can't wait to see Ella Jane in some of this stuff! Adorable! :) I do work with some awesome people!

Christmas Books

I just had to get these for Ella Jane. Cant wait to read them to her next year. They are the sweetest books. :)

I was going to get real creative (or find some inspiration on pinterest haha) for mine and Josh's Christmas card this year. Our first year as a married couple, and the last Christmas with just us two...but...these days, getting a picture made of myself is the last thing I want to do. But I still ordered a cute card, I just used a picture of us that we already had. :)

Tomorrow I have my first baby shower. My co-workers ate throwing me a shower after school tomorrow! I can not wait!!

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. Third trimester in pregnancy is seriously no fun! I don't care what anyone says. Haha! This week really, but especially this weekend, I've started getting extremely uncomfortable. My walk has become a wobble. Bending down is near impossible. Shopping is torture!
2. So glad I actually started Christmas shopping early! It's Dec. 2 and I'm already done! That's never happened before. Well we still have Justin and matt and Larry to buy for, but Josh is shopping for them. :) my part is done!
3. I know I've said it, but so happy mom gave us lots of ornaments. It made a big difference with our tree.
4. I have the best husband in the world. He is buying me a MacBook for Christmas! Love him!!
5. Nerds on a Rope are now out in holiday colors! Yeah!
6. Janie and Larry came home from Florida early. They love the nursery.
7. I need to find an outfit for the shower! But maternity clothes are so blah! I found some cute blazers at forever21 though, that actually fit.
8. I am loving all the coupon savings lately! Josh just knows to get a Sunday paper at Weigel's every week now. Haha! Have I mentioned how great he is?!
9. I like unsweetened hot chocolate just as good as the regular kind.
10. I found the cutest plush animals for Ella Jane at target...in the dollar aisle! Love that aisle!

Friday, November 30, 2012

The hedge hog

My mom brought me and Josh and Ella Jane some goodies today. First off, let me say that I loved our Christmas tree before. But it had no ornaments. Haha! But thanks to my mom, our tree is now covered with them! It looks so much better! And I know Josh is happy. He couldn't get past our ornament-less tree! :) I had planned on buying some after Christmas when they were really cheap so we'd have them for next year. But we are set now, I won't need to buy any for a long time.

Mom also brought Ella Jane a big plush hedge hog! It's the cutest thing!!

And here's a little peak at her nursery (minus the bedding).

We have a doctor!

So I knew absolutely nothing about baby doctors! I just knew that we had to find a doctor before Ella Jane arrives. I've asked around and got recommendations from friends. I called yesterday about a doctor that I was really interested in (thinking it probably wouldn't work out because she wasn't taking new patients), (well unless you had a referral)... (thanks,Meredith)! Anyway...the nurse called back today welcoming Ella Jane! Yayy! So excited! :)
Hearing the nurse talk today about all the procedures that'll take place the days we are in the hospital, have me extremely excited (and still nervous haha)!

Packing List

I can not believe it's already that time..but this week I've been getting my hospital list all wrote out for when Ella Jane decides to come. Baby apps and websites say to have your hospital bags packed and ready to go a month before your due date, which is mid December for me. :) can I just say that the nerves have officially kicked in! The thoughts of her being here in like 1.5 months is so exciting...but the thoughts of the whole labor experience thing makes me reallllyy nervous. Cause I really don't know what to expect. It's a very anxious feeling. I've read things about it and talked with friends about it, but I have this feeling that nothing can prepare a person for a moment like that. I get shaky just thinking about it. Haha! But anyway- my friends have helped me a lot with a packing list this week. Mostly I want to take things that's going to make me, josh, and Ella Jane feel more comfy! Here's (just a few things) I know I'm packing for all 3 of us:

1. Blankets and linens
2. Extra pillows
3. Chapstick
4. Cute pj's and comfy clothes
5. Snacks
6. Warm socks
7. And going home outfits

But I have about 40 things on my actual list. ;)

Rainy day fluff

Today...I left my phone at home (don't you just hate that feeling)? Luckily Josh saw I left it on the counter and took it to work with him this morning! I ran over to the high school and got it from him during my lunch break. I felt lost with out it.
Currently...curled up on the couch, watching a movie on tv, loving the Christmas tree and decorations. So cozy!! And that smell...ah! I wish we could leave this stuff up all year around. :) but then again, it would take away from this magical time of year.
Tonight...Josh won't be home til late. The Dragons take on the Cougars in basketball, so he's at the game.
Baby news...32.5 weeks and counting! When I walk, I don't see my legs anymore. Haha. Just two feet. Josh says I'm the hardest person in the world to sleep with right now. I would have to agree with him. I'm constantly tossing and turning and flipping my body pillow everywhere. Fun times. But I can't complain because my pregnancy (thus far) has been smooth. Night time is my only complaint, and that just started. So I'm good.
Excited about....our baby shower coming up (next Sunday)! And meeting Ella Jane, of course. :) I find myself imagining what she looks like constantly! And hoping she gets Josh's personality. :) he is full of some personality that's for sure. ;) I really am a lucky girl to have gotten him. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine myself with someone so wonderful (and handsome)! ;)

Things I learnt this thanksgiving weekend

1. Josh and I ate at 3 different places this thanksgiving. Started at gmo's for breakfast. And I gotta say, it wasn't hard for me to eat that many times at all. :) I even had round 4 when we got home. :)
2. I'm pretty positive Ella Jane likes the gangam (?) style song. She danced around in there a lot every time it came on the radio, as we traveled around for thanksgiving.
3. my favorite thanksgiving treat this year...pecan tarts!!
4. Favorite food (besides turkey and dressing)...my mamaws cream corn! Luv!
5. Josh and I sure did love our leftovers Friday. We ate on them all day, to the very last drop.
6. I didn't attempt the black Friday shopping. Unless something changes when Ella Jane gets here, I doubt I'll ever be one of those mommies. But maybe. ;) I did run into target to buy a tree stand, and winded up buying some movies for really cheap. :)
7. Josh and I went and got a Christmas tree instead! Bluebird Tree Farm was the perfect place. Gorgeous trees! I can't wait to take Ella Jane there with us next year. It's our new family tradition. IHop and the tree farm. :)
8. I'm pretty indecisive, so I went back and forth with a tree...but the one we got is perfect.
9. Putting Christmas lights on a tree wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. The tree looks pretty, and I'm loving the way it makes our whole condo smell!
10. I guess it's being a first time mommy, but I also can't stop staring at our Christmas stockings. Haha! Seeing mom, dad, and Ella Jane up there makes me happier than I could ever put into words. They make me realize over an over again how blessed I truly am. My own little family. :)
11. Mom sent me a picture of all the stockings hanging at her house. Love seeing the line grow!
12. Josh and I have cuddled up and warned two good movies this weekend. What to Expect When Youre Expecting and Friends with Kids. (I see a theme going on there)!
13. After all that work Josh did putting our outside lights up...the outside outlet doesn't work!! :( so sad.
14. Ella Jane's nursery is basically done (I might add a thing here and there) but it's done. I found a lamp (on clearance at target that's perfect) and I also found a rug...get this (for $7.50) at marshalls that's also matches perfectly. I just have to get her bedding on, which we will get at the shower from my Mamaw in 2 weeks. :) it's getting so close, I'll be meeting my sweet Ella Jane soon!!
15. Speaking of, a body pillow has been a life saver when it comes to sleeping. But I'm still so uncomfortable at night.
16. Josh took Janie and Larry to the airport this morning. They are in Florida for 2 weeks. Lucky dogs!

Christmas came early

I've always been the one to say that Christmas stuff should not be put up before thanksgiving. But I just couldn't help it this year. I think it's because it's my first christmas married and I racked up at Michaels the other day with all new Christmas decor. I just got super excited! Now we just need that tree.

Monday, November 19, 2012

Doctor

I'm at that point in pregnancy where I have to go to the doctor once every 2 weeks. So today after school, I headed that way. Everything was great! Ella Jane's heartbeat was 147. :) and she had lots of movement. :) I think she is going to be a hyper little thing like her dad. Haha!
Tomorrow is my last day of work...then thanksgiving break!!

Sunday, November 18, 2012

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. Minus a rug and a table for her lamp, Ella Jane's nursery is done!
2. I love all the woodland things I found at the southern market for her shelf.
3. I might have broke a record for the most trips made to hobby lobby by one person in one day.
4. The new Twilight was pretty good! It def has some cheesy parts (but don't they all)!
5. Im so ready for Christmas! It's getting really hard to not play the Christmas music.
6. I bought all of our Christmas decorations and lights. If it were up to me, theyd be up. But Josh wants to wait til after thanksgiving.
7. I saved $27 at Michaels today!
8. Ella Jane has been laying under my rib lately. Making it almost impossible to get comfortable when I'm laying down. :/
9. Sometimes it's ok to have choco shakes before bed time.
10. It's a short week this week! So happy for that.
11. Josh likes to seat in his "office chair" now. Lol! I'm cracking up.
12. More stores need to carry maternity clothes! I tried 2 stores today, trying to find something to wear for thanksgiving. Either place even sold maternity. Ugh!

Friday, November 16, 2012

Nursery and Friday fluff

Ella Jane's nursery is almost done...hoping to finish it over thanksgiving break. :) Josh is also working on his "honey-do" list tonight, while I go see TWILIGHT (so the nursery might actually get done this weekend)!!!! So excited! So today im sporting my Edward t-shirt! I can't believe it actually fits! It comes out of the closet once a year for the movie opener.

Currently...feeling very tired. My sleeping is almost non-existing these days (poor Josh)! I know I keep him up too.
Baby news....I am 31 weeks today. Pregnancy goes by so fast. And I am loving every second of it. Even the not so comfortable seconds. My ankles are swollen, a touch. I can barely shave my legs or paint my nails. Clothes are not fitting anymore and I just feel...HEAVY! But sooooo blessed!
Disappointed over...the canvas from Land of Nod. Well I shouldn't say disappointed because I absolutely LOVE it! But it's too big for the nursery and the color is all wrong for it too. But I decided to keep it. It's a perfect Christmas decoration. It's this huge banner\canvas that has a red deer on it. So in love.

Happy weekend everyone. I know i live for them. :)

Sunday, November 11, 2012

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. Josh was up late, but Ella Jane's crib and changing table are together and looking great in her nursery.
2. So happy I went with the espresso furniture (rather than white).
3. Josh has really worked hard getting things ready for Ella Jane (painting, hanging, putting things together)...already a wonderful dad!
4. The nursery is coming together just like I wanted it to. And now that it's almost done, the fact that Ella Jane will be here really soon has really sunk in! the nerves have sat in too. But it's the good kind. :)
5. Josh loves his Halo 4 I got him. It'll keep him busy for a while too as I'm getting things ready for the baby.
6. Washing her clothes last night was another big eye opener. So tiny! I tried to picture her in each little outfit.
7. I can't find a cute rug or lamp yet for her room.
8. The thing I ordered for her on Land of Nod got shipped back to Land of Nod. Apparently I put the wrong address on there. Ugh. Way to go Brooke. Oh and I also realized i put the wrong address on my license. The whole time we've been married, I thought our address was something different. Ha!
9. Wasabi was the perfect lunch spot today!
10. Ella Jane's armoir looks perfect in her nursery. Matt and Justin came over and helped Josh with it today after church.

**finally started a journal for Ella Jane. I wish I would've started it when I first found out she was coming. But better late than never. :)

Friday, November 9, 2012

Friday fluff

Last night...josh finally got the nursery painted! He did a really good job! Today after school...I met josh at target to get Ella Jane's crib! It's a simple espresso; love it! I also got a changing table. I can't believe how real everything is feeling now! Ella Jane really will be here so soon!! I'm so happy! Love that...I saved $25 dollars in coupons on our baby changing table and baby detergents. :) Tonight...I picked up some take out from Olive Garden and josh and I just stayed inside. Nice and cozy! (at least for a few minutes)! Ha! Currently...josh is putting the crib together!! Excited to...start decorating the nursery tomorrow! :) Currently feeling...like a mom! My new hsngouts=Toys R Us and Babies R Us. Yeah! I think I've stepped into a whole new world (and loving every second)!

Glucose!

Today I went in to the doctor for another glucose test. I had to drink that same sugary orange drink, but this time I had to get my finger pricked a total of 4 times!! Once when I first got there, and then once an hour for 3 hours. Seriously not fun! Last time I didn't get very nauseous. But this time, oh yeah! But I'm just glad that the results were good! And I dont have gestational diabetes. Shew!! Such a relief.

On another note: yesterday was election day. Obama got reelected for another 4 years.

If you were a wink...

Tonight Josh and I have been busy getting ready for Ella Jane! While he was painting, I got to stenciling! Even though its not perfect, I kinda love the way the sign turned out.

Proud of my man tonight. He worked hard painting the nursery and even got the first 2 coats finished!

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. It felt kinda weird not going to a football game Friday night.
2. It was such a pain stamping all those baby shower invites, but so worth it. They turned out so cute! And $.40 a card sure beats $2.75 a card (which is what I found them for on Etsy). Thanks mom and Melissa. They worked really hard on them!
3. We also (well mom and Melissa-I can't make these at all) made the prettiest pom pom balls for Ella Jane's room. Can't wait to get them hung!!
4. After failing my glucose test this week, I have really cut back on my sugar intake. Which was so hard to do, my mom had all this wonderful stuff made while I was up there. I'm proud of myself though. I only had one piece of fudge. :) well and maybe a piece of apple cake.
5. Matt and Justin FINALLY came and got the furniture we gave them. It was all in the room that's going to be the nursery.
6. Josh finally started painting! I'm getting so excited!!
7. I can no longer see my legs, just a big ol belly. Haha!
8. My obsession with couponing is still going strong.
9. I love the banner I ordered for Ella Jane on land of nod!
10. Ella Jane is weighing just over 2.5 pounds! Ah! Those sweet little kicks (though still sweet) aren't feelin great these days. Ha! But I'll take them! :)

Halloween Pups!

I just love these pups! A Hawaiian girl and boy! :) aren't they adorable!

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

Well a little bit of sad news, I failed my glucose test (by 6 points) yesterday! I was so upset. But after talking to people I learned that failing the first one is pretty common. I go in next week to try it again (this time it's a 3 hour long test)! Ugh! I also have low iron. So from here on out I'm on an iron supplement twice a day. Fun times....but SO worth it. More red meat and green vegetables please. Happy Halloween all! This is my first Halloween not helping my mom out with Frank and Sophie. They sure do look cute though. A Hawaiian girl and boy. :) love it. Next year I'm thinking we should coordinate them with Ella Jane. :) speaking of which, Halloween sure will be different next year. :)

Bad Storms!

So happy to not live in the north! Major storms going on right now (up north)! Major flooding and heavy winds, blackouts! My cousin Amanda (that just moved to New York) (talk about bad luck) is living in a hotel until they find a house (she might be rethinking this now)! They were with out power for a while yesterday. Yikes. Hoping these storms go away. Here in Tennessee we have lots of rain and cold!!! I love the cold...not the rain!

Currently, sitting at the doctors office. I have my Glucose test today! Kinda dreading it, considering that I live on sweets these days. :/ and apparently you have to drink this chalky orange drink (oh gross)! But just praying that everything results as "A-OK!"

On a happy note: Knoxville is getting an Anthropoligie!!!!!!!! On the other hand, this could be bad for me. ;) I'm excited!!

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. Football season is over! Usually I'm sad, but I gotta admit (this season) I'm glad! Its nursery time!!!
2. I love lazy weekends, but I also love productive weekends. And this weekend has been soo productive. My weekend was totally dedicated to Ella Jane's nursery.
3. The plan for Josh and I to share a closet and give Ella Jane her own, had to change. We both just have way too many clothes.
4. Ella Jane still has her own closet-- just a small version. :) so I spent hours (like 5 hours) yesterday organizing 3 closets! And now I'm happy to say that all our laundry is clean (first time ever this has happened) our closets are organized, and Ella Jane's clothes (what she has so far) is hung up! :)
5. After a VERY busy day- Cracker Barrell dinner (pintos) were absolutely perfect! It's so cozy, especially this time of year.
6. Josh makes fun of me, but I'm seriously obsessed with coupons and saving money these days. It makes grocery shopping so much more fun too. Today's savings, ($28).
7. My belly is getting so big (and uncomfortable)! And my ankles have started swelling a bit--but it's so worth it! Every baby I see now reminds me of how wonderful things are going to be when Ella Jane gets here! I seriously can not wait!
8. Mom got Ella Jane's pottery barn chair in the mail! Oh it turned out so cuuute! And Mamaw got part of her bedding in the mail. They said it's even prettier in person. Ahhh.
9. My man has had somewhat of a stressful weekend, so he has played a lot of xbox.
10. My car is in need of tires, like sooooo bad. So I'm driving Josh's truck this week. Parking should be lots of fun. ;)

10 things I learnt this weekend

2. The Dragons didn't have the best game, but the Cougars did!
3. I love how Josh puts his arm around me after football games (win or lose) and whether he is talking to someone or not, his arm is right there. Funny how I still get giddy.
4. so proud of my football coaching man!
5. A very dear friend of mine called with exciting news!!!
6. Retailmenot.com and geoQpons.com......obsessed! You should check them out.
7. So glad and a little embarrassed to say that I got our wedding pictures printed finally! :)
8. Sinister is a good movie! Scary but good! But not so scary that I thought about it afterwards. :)
9. My man loves his Buffalo Wild Wings (I would have never waited that long)!
10. So glad Walking Dead is back on!

Ella Jane is kicking stronger than ever. Josh feels her now if he is even close to my belly Haha!

Thankful Thursday

1. A belly that looks/feels like it's doubled since last week - this just means Ella Jane is growing! :)
2. All her little (sometimes big) kicks and movements. It's so cool.
3. Melissa who is dealing with my crazy baby shower style and throwing us a shower (and made the invitations I found and loved so much)!
4. Family who have already offered to buy some of the big things we need for the nursery.
5. A week of fall break - I can't imagine only having 2 days! This week is going by too fast already. But it's been relaxing and somewhat productive.
6. The pretty fall colors! The trees are gorgeous right now!
7. Football being almost over. I usually don't feel this way. Usually I'm actually a little sad to see it go. But this year is different. I'm ready to get the nursery going (i got the paint yesterday)!

Fall break crafts

This fall break is being chalked up to lots of crafts (I've just been in one of those moods, like everyday this week). Plus, I know I should enjoy them now cause days like this will probably be few and far between when Ella Jane gets here. :) today I have made a bday present for Nicole (the big 4-0)! And Christmas presents!! Josh went and picked up Ella Jane's amoire. So precious!

Yesterday Josh and I went to register Ella Jane. Bless our hearts. We were so clueless with all the baby stuff. But We had fun and just stuck with brands like Graco and Chicco. We knew we couldn't go wrong. :) I think we did good. But once we got in the car I found the "must register for" list from Babies R Us and I realized I had forgotten some stuff. Ha! I'll do it online.

Happy Wednesday! It's absolutely gorgeous today.

Grandmothers bday

Last night me, josh, Janie, and Larry celebrated grandmother for her 81st bday! I can't believe she is 81! She seriously doesn't look it at all, and gets around like no other too! We met at Riverview and ate, which was delicious. It's kind of a hole in the wall restaurant, but the food is country and really good! Josh and I got her a framed pic of our gender announcement. She is ALL about pictures. :) Janie told us last night that she has decided for Ella Jane to call her "MiBella". not sure where she came up with it, but it's growing on me. Today: josh has football practice til noon, then we are going to REGISTER Ella Jane! So excited!

Mossy Letter

Even though Josh isn't a huge fan of the mossy letters, I'm obsessed with moss. So this initial was a must for the nursery. :) can't wait to hang it with a big burlap bow!
