to go..or not to go? Not go.

Bloggaroos!!! OMG, my life is a complete whirlwind right now. And my blog is totally slacking because of it *laughs*, but I've not had time for much lately..except for lots of thinking. So as you know, I got a job in Nashville. Which is totally great. Well, it started off great. Then the family I was gunna be working for started changing the contract around. It winded up being a big ol mess. I was gunna be working like all the time, and I was gunna have to make up 12 floating hours a week. ugh! But I still really thought going to Nashville would be a fun experience for me. And I hated to tell the family and the agency I wasn't coming. Soooo.. the last couple of days I've been torn between going to Nashville or staying here, going to Nashville or staying here. Thinking about the pros and cons of both. But then something happened that made my decision a lot easier. I got called and asked to come in for an interview. A teaching interview! So I decided to stay here, in Knoxville. I may not get this job, but if I'm in Nashville it'll be hard for me to ever get a teaching job, well at least for a while. I wouldn't be here to interview. :/ And I wouldnt' want to be a nanny for too long. Haha!
So anyway, my interview went really guud today *fingers crossed* BUT if I don't get the job, no biggie. I have a backup plan. I've also applied for the grad program at UT. So if I don't get the job, Ill take this semester off and get my masters. Well, at least that's the plan for now. But it seems to change a lot these days. :)

Nashville (2)
Hey ya'll! Well, me mum and dad spent another weekend in Nashville (I had 2 working interviews). And guess what!?!... I got offered a job, from the first family I interviewed w! Sweet people. I haven't accepted it yet though. But only because I feel like the 2nd family I interviewed with is a better fit for me. It's just too bad they haven't offered me anything yet *laughs*. I'm suppose to hear from them by tomorrow though *fingers crossed*
So this weekend, me mum and dad drove around EVERYWHERE looking for apartments. Not much luck (I did get familiar w all the different areas in Nashville though - positive). It's like all the apartments I liked didn't have any availability or were way out of my price range haha. BUT...today I have found some really cute vintage flats for rent. They have hardwood floors, big farm sinks, and so much character. Hopefully one of those will work out. :)) Did I mention they are cheaper than some of the apartments I looked at! Even better.
As usual, we ate good this weekend. We ate at the Loveless Cafe, neat little restaurant in Franklin. It has really good homey comfort food. We also went to Leipers Fort, it's a cute place too in Franklin, lots of galleries and antique shops. Of course, the antiques there are thousands of dollars (but it was still fun to look). We ate a Puckett's. It's a grocery store/restaurant. Haha! As we were eating, a big tour bus pulled up, Mark Conner. Apparently he's a country singer, never heard of him though. Mum was so hoping to see Vince this weekend (better luck next time, mum).

stressing!
Dollbugggs! How are yah? I'm totally stressing out. haha! I've done really good about not stressing this whole summer [over a job,or lack thereof]. But now that I'm so close to actually getting one, I'm stressed *laughs*. I guess it's because I know if I get one of these jobs, my whole life is going to be different. I'm not complaining, I think it'll be a good healthy change, but still yet..change is still a little scary and stressful at times. Plus, I haven't even started looking at apartments! eeeeeks [i've really got to get on the ball]. It's just that I've been in limbo kinda. I didn't want to look for apartments and pack my stuff up, without having a 100% for sure job. But [knock on wood] it looks like that's exactly what's fixing to happen. Soooo...now would be a good time to stress a little, or get to it.I started packing things up today. My apartment looks like a cyclone came through. I packed up books, dvds, towels, sheets, and some clothes. And I also got all the drawers in my apartment cleaned out! :) whoop! And I'm going to start google'in lots of apartments tonight!
Friday and Saturday I have working interviews with the families I interviewed with last week! I really love both families, it would be so hard deciding which one to go with. Maybe one will want me, and one won't! That would make my life easier. But let's just hope that at least one does *laughs*. I'm hoping that Friday I can go check out some apartments!
Have a stress-free day blogaroos! x

Nashville

Hey ya'll! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Today, I've been reallllly lazy. It was a "Sandra Bullock Saturday" on family channel! So guess what I've done? Haha! Yupp, watched Hope Floats and Practical Magic. :) Two of my favorite movies everrr!
So I'm suppose to hear something about a job on Monday!! I'm so nervous! Everytime I start thinking about it, I just automatically turn my thoughts to something else. I mean it's going to be sad if I don't get one of these jobs, but it's also gunna be a little bittersweet if I do. Cause that means I'm moving to Nashville (in like 2 weeks)! Omg, I'm not quite ready to think about that right now.
I really do love Nashville though! Me, mom, and dad had a great little trip there this week. Here's some of the things we did...
* Stopped at a rest area, and got lots of pamphlets on Nashville and Franklin [they really did come in handy *laughs*]
* Drove around downtown a lot :)
* Checked out the titans stadium - of course *laughs*
* Ate at the cheesecake factory [can you believe my dad didn't even try a piece of cheesecake-that's just wrong haha!]
* Shopped at Green Hills Mall
* Watched a movie, Grown Ups [pretty good film]
* Stayed the night in Franklin
* Shopped in Franklin [we luved this place, especially me and mom] So Mayberry!
* Ate at this really country restaurant, Dodson's. So yummy! But seriously a little hole in the wall. It was featured in Southern Living, thus the reason mom wanted to eat there! :) It did have the best fried chicken ever! And let me just add, as we were leaving, a waitress asked my dad if he was a country music singer! Haha!! That cracked me up!
* And we also put the boys' GPS to goooood use [i'm asking for one for my birthday]
night night! x

where is the time going?

Seriously ya'll, where is the time going? Can you believe it's almost midJuly?
Mood of the day: LAAAZY
Thought of the day: SO much to do, so little time.
Yesterday I: Went to Cumberland Gap w mom, mamaw & papaw, Amanda & the girls, and her mom and dad. We had lunch at a sweet little restaurant, Webb's. I had the jumbo shrimp. Mmm!
Next week: Mom and dad are actually taking me to my interviews in Nashville (I think mum is STARTING to come around, to the idea that I might be moving). Stress on 'starting to' *winks*
Last movie I watched: Private Eyes, very funny! And it's all filmed at Biltmore, which I thought was pretty neat.

swedish massage!
Hey darlings! So today I was introduced to the fabulous world of massages! I had a swedish massage today! Ahhh. It was heavenly! The masseuse said I had a lot of tention in my shoulders. eeeee! I envy people who can afford to get one every week. I would love that! I didn't, however, love the cucumber water at the end. Yuck. I really don't like cucumbers, but the lady handed me a cup, of what I thought was just regular water. ughhh! She said I need to drink lots of water today. But I've not done that. oops *laughs* But I have felt so good today and had so much energy.Massages, good for the mind, the body, and the soul!

Amanda is in town!

Hey blogbugs! I just realized that I didn't blog at all yesterday! So unlike me!
Today has been crazy wild, but funn. My cousin, Amanda is in town for a little bit. So she's been keeping me busy. Today she and her friend Chris enjoyed a sweet day at the spa. Me..I was the babysitter. :) It was fun, we hung out at the pool all day, played with silly bands (as you can see *laughs*), snacked a lot, watched cartoons. And my wonderful- ohh so thoughtful cousin- brought me back a gift certificate for a Sweddish Massage!! Ahhh! I will not be holding onto that sucker for long! :) I've never had a message before, so I'm super excited about it.
Tonight me, Amanda, the girls, mom, and Susan went out to dinner, and had some laughs (the girls were quite entertaining).
Tomorrow I'm making an appointment to get my hair cut...and colored! I'm going shorter and quite a bit lighter I've decided.
Have a good night ya'll.

eclipse thoughts

I absolutely loved Eclipse! It's definitely the best film of the Twilight saga thus far! Some of the things I really liked about it:
1. All of the characters have better make-up and hair (except for Bella-eeeks).
2. Jasper has a bigger part (i love jasper).
3. Rylie.
4. The wolves look more realistic.
5. Taylor is a hotter and more loveable Jacob than he was in New Moon.
6. Jasper and Rosalee told Bella their story about becoming vampires.
7. Bella's wedding ring!
8. The ending where Bella is talking to Edward about why she wants to become a vampire.
9. & finally, mom dropping a box of Mike & Ikes during the movie and they scattered everywhere. Haha!
I really can not wait for the next part (which is the last book-Breaking Dawn). They are breaking that book up into 2 different movies. Traci googled it on the way home, and the next part doesn't come out until November 2011. Ugh!
