music list

Yesterday...I started making a song list for the wedding reception. I've got a little bit of everything on there, but mostly songs that represent me and Josh in some way :)
Last night...Josh and I ate at Cheddar's, then came home and looked at houses online! We found one we both really love. It's older with lots of character inside.
Today...has been a beautiful day. I ate supper with Leslie then came home, read by the pool, fell asleep by the pool. Haha! I also decided that I want to get married in a church. Now to find that church *big smile*

10 things i learnt this weekend (and thursday)

1. Josh lost his game against Kingsport Thursday night. So upsetting, but Grandmother and I had a fun trip up there together. And I loved giving him a big hug on the field afterwards *smile*
2. Josh and I got to see the Cougars WIN their very first WIN! *big smile* It was also the first time Josh had ever sat in the stands. haha!
3. I'm proud of the boys. They're doing awesome things for that football program.
4. Mom already has mine and Josh's baby names picked out! LOL!
5. So I'm pretty sure I've decided against an outdoor wedding. Too scary, especially in March. Which means, no old house wedding, as much as I did love the idea.
6. I found a place for the wedding reception! It's perfectly located, and I should be able to make it great for the look I'm wanting too.
7. Stephanie had Sam on Friday! 8 pounds.
8. Holding a new born baby is a little awkward.
9. I need to remember that guys and girls have a different way of looking at things, and I just need to listen better.
10. The wedding diet begins...this week! Ugh! Not looking forward to this, at all Haha!

so far so guuud

I talked to a friend of mine the other day about wedding stuff, and she made the comment that wedding planning is the worst and really draining. haha! I can definitely see how that could happen to someone, but so far so guud, in my case. I'm actually having a lot of fun with it. But I've only taken care of the small stuff so far too haha! But I am meeting with a photographer tomorrow. Hopefully I can show her the ideas I have in mind, and she'll fit my budget haha!
Today I found almost all of the stuff I need for the wedding favors (the rest I have to order)! But the stamp I got at Hobby Lobby, it's exactly what I was looking for. I love when that happens.
I miss Josh! I don't get to see him near enough through the week *sigh*

wedding venue!

Last night: Josh and I met at Chilli's for a late night dinner.
This morning: I was running late for school, and totally forgot to put on my ring! I felt soooo weird and lost with out it, but luckily I got to run home on my planning and get it.
Today: GREAT NEWS! Mom called about that old house, and the lady is going to let us use it for the wedding! It's this old house that was built by slaves like 200 years ago. It's amazing, and perfect for the look Josh and I want. We're gonna go get a better look at it next week, just to make sure it's going to work! I'm so excited! The only thing that worries me is that we would be having an outdoor wedding...and I said I would never do that (because of rain..or in March you have to worry about snow). But, then again, if that did happen, it might just add to the character! :)

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. A lightning delayed ballgame, makes for a looong Friday night.
2. Both my teams lost this week...but there's always next week!
3. I was so proud of my man out there doing his coaching thing, so adorable! :)
4. I MIGHT'VE found the perfect place for our wedding...gotta call tomorrow to find out if it's a possibility *fingers crossed*
5. I love the bday present Josh's mom and dad got me. Grey vintage wood box, with carved out birds. It's amazing!
6. Josh has started looking at houses! Wow ....excitement!
7. Sunday is turning out to be wedding planning day, and Josh is so helpful. I pick things out, and he helps me to narrow down *big smile*
8. Wedding planning is so much easier when your fiance is on the same page as you. So glad we have the same taste!
9. My biggest wedding planning projects (i added one today): place, dress, and MUSIC!
10. We did pick out wedding invitations today! Love them so much!

Wedding News.

Last night: Josh and I sat down and talked WEDDING! We decided against a destination wedding, which I'm actually happy about. At first we were all about it...like maybe a Charleston or Hawaii wedding, just thinking it would be less stressful. But, we really want our family and friends sharing this special time with us. So, I've gotta get busy. But the good news is, I've got all these ideas in my head that I'm really excited about! Hopefully everything will come together awesomely and our wedding will have a very urban and rustic feel to it. :)

The wedding planner book says that I'm really behind, as far as my planning haha! I had no idea what all went into planning a wedding, until we were looking through it last night. Holy moly. Of course, I won't be doing everything in the book, but the two major things I've got to do asap is: find a church/venue and my dress. Actually, I thought I had already found the perfect church, but when I called today they informed me that they don't rent out to people who aren't members! *sigh*. So sad! But I'll find another one :)

Hope everyone is having an awesome day. I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday! Football season officially begins!

My birthday!

I can't believe I'm 29! So weird. I don't feel 29. But then again, what should 29 feel like? All i know is I am beyond happy right now. So I'm going to say that 29 feels gosh darn AMAZING! Mom had me a little birthday party last night. Everything was so lovely! The presents, the company, the food (fried chicken- my favorite). We had a lot of fun. And even better, my presents this year had somewhat of a theme... WEDDING! :) Mom and dad got me a wedding planner!! It's so neat, and is going to be SO helpful. Oh, and they also got me a crockpot, and a crockpot cook book (so excited to put it to use). Traci got me a gorgeous photo album. It's vintagey, with torn looking pages. It'll be perfect for the wedding parties, showers, and engagement pics. Justin and Matt got me some wedding magazines (unveiled is the best magazine for weddings, i absolutely love it), and last but not least Josh sent me flowers to school (picci below), and got me a garbage can. Yes, a garbage can. I guess he is sick of seeing mine hang on the pantry door *laughs*.

10 things i learnt this weekend

1. The Jamboree was really hot Friday, but BOTH my teams did really awesome! :)
2. Ihop pancakes for a late dinner...always!
3. Josh and I actually went to Banberry without eating at Angelos. Woah.
4. *Note to self* when someone invites you to a cookout...take something. Oops.
5. I almost beat Josh at corn hole -- sooo close.
6. We have set a date...March 23! It's a Friday. But get this...Josh's mom and dad have an anniversary march 22, my mom and dad have an anniversary march 24...so we are in between. Plus, our spring break is the next week, and getting married on a friday gives us an extra day of honeymoon. Perfect!
7. Josh, church, Wasabi, pool, and wedding planning = a perfect Sunday.
8. I can already tell that wedding planning is going to be just a tad bit stressful.
9. Charleston is looking better and better (i did find an awesome vintage venue there, but we'll see).
10. This week, is going to be CRAZZZy busy. I've got a classroom to get ready.

I'm engaged!!

Sunday afternoon, I had that moment that every girl dreams about. :) I got engaged! BoyF proposed!!! And it was absolutely perfect. Everything about it. And the ring...well, amaaaazing! Seriously amazing! And the best part is, he picked it out all by himself! I've never been happier in my whole life, not even close. This feeling is so awesome. Someone at school today said, " I don't think I've seen you not smiling." I think she's right. It's just a really happy happy time right now. So as they say, "Let the planning begin!" We haven't set a date yet, we've got to get through football season first (haha)....so right now we're just soaking in the engagement part...but one thing we both agree on is we don't want a big wedding. Something small and cozy. I'm thinking a barn wedding, or a CHARLESTON WEDDING! :) But we'll see. Josh and I have always had a pretty unique relationship haha, so I'm sure this will be nothing short of it. You should check out my Pinterest website, if you haven't. 10 things i learnt this weekend

1. I had a sweet little visit from my mom and mamaw Friday (they came to pick up sophie).
2. The Adjustment Bureau, with Matt Damon, has got to the be the silliest movie I've ever seen.
3. BoyF had a fball game in Chatt Saturday, so I spent a lovely time in CC with the fam and pups.
4. Taken, really good movie.
5. I got crafty this weekend, and I really Love the "b frame" I made...i'll post a pic later.
6. Staying up til 6am on a Sunday morning = no church for me and bf *sigh*
7. My mamaw is headed out to Hilton Head this am.
8. Louie's spaghetti is really spicey, and ohhhh so good, but not the best choice for someone with a cold, like myself. Haha!
9. BoyF is up to something for my birthday today, but he won't tell me what! :)) Interesting...
10. The first day of work, at my new job, is tomorrow. And after a lot of thinking and talking things out, I've FINALLY made my decision as to which place I need to be...toughest decision of my life.

Hi little darlings! Hopefully everyone is havingg an oh so fun and lovely week. Mine has been realllyyyyy busy! I've been working on school stuff (which is always fun and exciting for me- especially this year), but I've also been sick...which isn't so fun! I've got a bad sinus infection, ug. And I've also not seen the boyf all week, which is another bummer....oohhh that football *winks* But anyway, here's a little quick 'me, today':

Yesterday...I had a yummy lunch at Aubrey's with my mom and mamaw, then I took Sophie to Petsmart. Currently...laying in bed with my cuddle bug snuggle bug, Sophie. Feeling...giddy, of course :) But also really siiiiick! Headaaaache! Nose aaache! Throat aaaache!Biggest accomplishment this week, thus far...organizing my bathroom sink! Favorite thing that's happened this week...this am when I opened up my door, to find the sweetest most adorable card. I swear, my BoyF is just awesome. Last movie...The Smurf's. My cousin Amanda and her girls are in from Texas. Cute!

Happy birthday papaw!

76 years young! I got him a swiss army knife that I got in Hilton Head, and a Willie Nelson shirt. I didn't exactly notice what the shirt said until he opened it up, oh well...he can mow the lawn in it :-)
