Bye August

I can't believe it's the last day of August! This month was all about getting back in the groove of school, kicking football season off, being super excited about our baby (more and more every day), finally painting with a twist, getting some really cool electronics, getting a big belly (which I adore), maternity clothes, too many baby pinterest pins, getting my appetite back, getting half way through pregnancy, and turning the big 3-0! Its months like this yuh hate to see go. But at the same time.....

September is going to be such an exciting month for my family and I. We start it off by finding out the sex of our baby! Can you believe it?! That's when the true fun can begin. We get to cheer on 2 football teams, my dad has a bday, and my first duck duck goose adventure! And I might even start on the nursery. :)

Adventure.

So ready for it.

One week!

In exactly one week from today, we find out what our baby is! Boy or Girl? Everyone seems to think its a girl. Haha! I do too, but it doesn't matter either way! I'm just so beyond blessed to be getting to be a mommy! I AM GOING TO BE A MOM! It's unreal. I've dreamed about this forever.

To say that this whole experience is the best thing that's ever happened to me is the biggest understatement ever said (and the baby isn't even here yet). There's nothing like it. I can't wait to hold our precious baby (boy or girl).

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. The Dragons lost (it was expected though). And on the bright side, the team is soooo much better than last year! And there was a great crowd!
2. I absolutely love my camera! I need a zoom in lens for the football games though.
3. Everyone at the game thinks our baby is a girl. Haha! (I really do too)!
4. After the game I went on the field to greet my main man. He greeted me with a hug and a kiss (and a kiss on the belly)! :)
5. We had Louie's for the first time, in a long time. That spaghetti is the best around, still.
6. Everytime I drink a coke, the baby starts moving a lot. Haha. Our baby likes it's coke.
7. I got my hair cut and glossed at the new Paul Mitchell school. Patricia is great.
8. Josh and I had a lazy saturday night eating ice cream and watching The Hunger Games.
9. I'm NOT a fan of Trader Joe's. I guess organic is just not for me. The bags are cute though. Ha!
10. This week is going to be lots of fun. CC VS. AC game Thursday night, no school (for kids) Friday, Josh's game Friday night, the weekend, no school Monday, and we find out the sex of our baby Tuesday morning! Yayy! Exciting!!!!!!

Football Season!

What is it about football season that I love so much?!! Particularly high school. It's the whole atmosphere of it all, its watching my man do his thing (soooo stinking cute out there)!, nothing cuter than a football coach, its the yummy food, the cold nights, blankets, the big jackets, scarves, and boots, and hoodies! It means fall is just around the corner! I love it all! And super excited to get it started tonight! And to use my new camera! Go Dragons!! :)

Baby news: the doctor called me today and our last blood work test came back normal. That's always the sweetest words. I always feel so nervous after we have a test--until we get the results back I have it on my mind. So thankful for good news today. God is so good!!!! His blessings just keep rolling in for me (and our precious baby)!

Happy weekend y'all!

Dragon Rally!

Tonight the Dragons had a pep rally! There was a great crowd, i met some really great people, and my man gave an awesome speech. I was definitely a proud wife tonight! The Dragons take on DB tomorrow night, for their season opener! so excited!

Baby news: still loving these flutters. I feel the baby all through out the day, but especially at night. I wonder if this is an indication that our baby is a night owl (just like its dad)! Haha. Oh goodness I hope not. :) I Love my sleep! We find out the gender in 1 1/2 weeks!!!!! Man I can't wait. Still feeling like it's a girl, but who knows. And I can honestly say it doesn't matter to me what it is. :) when I think about Josh with a girl it melts my heart. But I can also imagine us having a little boy who Josh packs around on the sidelines. ;) sept 4 needs to get here fast!!!

So long 20's....

30 used to seem sooo old to me. But now (I guess cause I am 30) it doesn't seem old at all. I actually feel like all the "good stuff" is just beginning. I'm married to a wonderful and amazing guy (I love our life together)!, & we have a baby on the way!!! It's hard to be upset about 30 with so much goodness going on.

Some wishes I want to throw up for my 30's; I wish:

-for a healthy baby boy or girl
-maybe perhaps another healthy baby boy or girl ;)
-a stronger relationship with God
-to be a wonderful mommy; who sets good examples and is always planning and doing fun things with my kids
-for a vacation/holiday to Europe
-to become more culturized...and to make sure to really culturize my kid(s)
-to take a class (maybe painting, cooking, or cake decorating)!
-for a visit to Colorado around Christmas time
-to have a marriage that continues growing every day
-to read more
-to take more pictures
-learn more recipes/especially for the crockpot
-to eat more healthy
-(the list could go on and on)......................

30 is planned to be my best year yet! :)

10 things I learnt this weekend

1. The baby is moving!! We can't feel it kicking yet, but I can feel it flurrying around in there. :))) pretty cool stuff.
2. I've said it before I know, but there's nothing like high school football on a Friday night! Josh didn't have a game this week but the Cougars did! So Josh and I headed up to CC to watch them take on Seymour! We really thought CC was going to win all the way through until the very end. We lost. 20-30.
3. Matt is quite entertaining to watch down on the field. Haha. He really gets into it. :) love!
4. I got yet another wonderful present!! My mamaw and papaw and Rick got me a Photoshop program called, The Lightroom! :) since I now and finally have a sweet camera (for all those baby pics) they knew I had to have a sweet editor for them. Soooo excited.
5. My mom bought me some more maternity clothes, that I love. Yes I have to wear them now.
6. At first maternity clothes scared me because I couldn't find any that worked. But once I did (and now that I'm bigger) I can't get enough. FYI. Belts might become your best friend.
7. My Saturday was spent trying on maternity clothes! I have found that old navy is the best place for your basics. Like tanks and jeans.
8. Jeans with the secure band are a must.
9. Josh and I are in search of a new computer. With all the cool tech stuff I've gotten we need something to store it all on. And something to run my Photoshop program.
10. I need a haircut. :)

**pics taken before church this morning. 18 weeks/2days.

The BIG 3-0!

When I say this was the best birthday ever, I really mean it. I have been one spoiled girl this week. :) It started off on Wednesday with Josh and his family. Grandmother made my favorite meal of her's (lasagna)! And of course, there were presents! His family is too good to me! Grandmother got me the diaper bag (pictured below) that I am so totally in love with. Janie and Larry got me a VIDEO CAMERA, that's the size of my iPhone just about! I can't believe how tiny they are now! And it's touchscreen, and totally amazing! I can't wait to tape our baby...a lot!

I go into work Thursday morning (my birthday) with my door all covered in black, with the numbers 30 all big! My co-workers are crazy! They also had me balloons in the classroom, with a black rose, and a picture! They are so precious to me.

So, Josh had a scrimmage on my birthday! :( And since we didn't want to celebrate with out him, mom told me we would celebrate Saturday. So I THOUGHT I was going out with Melissa Thursday night to celebrate my turning the BIG 3-0! She had this big story about how she would pick me up at 5:30 for dinner - for this new restaurant out West (that of course I hadn't ever heard of). But no! We pull up to Painting with a TWIST! I'm like, "oh, I'd love to do that one day." And Melissa's like, "Well good, cause that's what we are doing."

My mom had me a surprise bday celebration! If you know my mom, you know that she couldn't not celebrate my birthday with me. :) It was me, mom, Melissa, Stephanie, Nicole, BJ, Traci, Susan, Leslie, and Janie! Mom had finger foods (chick fil a), and Nicole made the cutest cake. While we were eating I got to pick out what picture I wanted our group to paint. I am so indecisive, but I finally decided on the dandelions! I thought they would go perfect in my bedroom! ;)

Painting with a Twist is soooooo fun! If you've never done it, do it! We had the best time. We laughed, sang, and learned to paint (a little)! haha! Mom and Stephanie did the best, naturals. And needless to say, if I could choose a hobby, that would be it. I love painting. So relaxing.

I also got presents! Some maternity clothes and necklace (from mom).

I'll post some pictures of this fun night later. Thanks mom, for putting that all together! What a blast! BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!

Diaper Bag!

Grandmother got me my Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag for my birthday! I love this bag so much. I already know its a must have for new and expecting mommies. Don't let the pic fool you, it's huge! I plan on carrying it for the next 5 years! :)

It's pink, and we might have a boy...but I'm the one carrying it, right? :) I plan on getting another bag for Josh to carry. :)

A few things I learnt recently

1. The Cougars played great at Neyland Stadium.
2. We got to sit in the pressbox! Pretty amazing (i might would actually start going to UT games if I could sit up there each week). ;) leather seats!
3. Me mom Susan and traci had an awesome time at the Beth Moore seminar. That lady is just a big ball of personality.
4. The word won't spread if ya ain't got no cred. -beth Moore
5. Brewsters has a drive thru!! This could be bad for me with this sweet tooth I have going on.
6. Mexican Dominoes is still my favorite game!
7. Slumber party at my place was fun, but I have to admit I missed Josh (a little haha). I have the best husband for letting us girls have the condo for the night.
8. Cracker Barrell breakfast is worth waking up really early for.
9. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my early bday present from Josh. He got me a camera!! A CANNON!! That boy is too much! Can't wait to take lots of pictures of our baby.
10. I really wanna take a camera/photography class.
11. I can finally eat at Aubreys again. Their chicken salad melt is wonderful.
12. My Mamaw is back home and feeling pretty good. She's had a rough week.
13. I'm loving the weather right now. I'm sure it'll get hot again really soon. But for now, it almost feels like fall. And it's def been feeling like football weather. Speaking of, cc has their first game this Friday and me and Josh get to go. Joshs isn't til next Friday.
14. My doc appt went really great today. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat. :) I always tear up at that part. No matter how many times I've heard it. It was in the 140's today. Can't wait to see this little thing!! We find out what it is sept 4. :)

Weekly fluff

This week....has been totally insane. I've been so busy getting my classroom ready for a brand new year (which is always exciting).
In baby news...I guess I've been working too hard in my classroom because my left thigh has decided it wants to tingle and go numb on me now. The doc said it could also be the baby putting pressure on a nerve. It doesn't hurt, it's just annoying.
Tonight...I visited my Mamaw in the hospital. Yet again. I really hope they get everything worked out soon. My mom gave me (well the baby) a present. The Lorax book and movie! Love it. I read to the baby tonight for the first time (it can hear my voice now), and guess what book!?? Yep, the Lorax. :).
Last time I cried...that'd be tonight reading the Lorax. Haha. Im emotional these days alright. :) but it was also pretty amazing reading to my baby for the first time. :) I can't wait til she or he gets here. Which by the way we will be finding out the sex in about 2 more weeks!!!!!
Craziest thing that's happened this week....my brother passing out at the hospital! No joke!
Tomorrow....first day of school. I get to meet my new kiddies. And tomorrow night the cougars are playing at UT!! Exciting day!!

Back to Work!

Yesterday was my first official day back to work. Inservice Day. Which I can handle OK. I love seeing everyone and catching up. And i especially love seeing my old LC crew. But today I've been working in my classroom all day!! And for someone pregnant (who is used to not working a lot), this is even harder. Tonight my back is absolutely killing me. :/ but my class is looking cute. I used some really cute Pinterest ideas. And I'm excited about meeting my new kiddies, and getting this year going. it's going to be a good one I think. Interesting for sure. Being pregnant and teaching will be quite different.

In baby news:
We are 16 weeks today! :) and my belly is starting to really pooch out. Haha! I've been having to force myself to eat. The only thing that sounds good to me anymore is cereal (and not the healthy kind). Well and fruit. Love me some fruit these days.

And I have two words for ya! Heart.Burn
